We have been serving the families in our community for over 30 years.
Strengthening Meaningful Relationships with children, families and our community.
Mission Statement
It is our mission to provide a safe, loving, learning environment where families can feel secure leaving their children while they are working. To build relationships that foster on-going support that strengthens the family unit.
SMR Kids Care and Early Learning Center believes that children must have their physical and emotional needs met to be able to develop social and cognitive skills at an optimum level. We believe that it is essential that a child's caregiver is a constant, nurturing person and that they are able to bond with them and that their families play an active role in the daily functions of the center. We embrace cultural differences and use these differences to enhance our learning experiences and strengthen our school community.
We believe that children learn by experimenting and exploring through play. It is the staff's responsibility to support this development by providing the experiences needed for development in all learning domains, while taking into account each child's individuality. Children learn through social interactions with each other and with adults in their environment. Children's natural curiosity of the world around them and individual interest is what motivates them to learn. Our curriculum is child centered, meaning that the child's interest is what it is built around. We believe that the environment is a key element to developmental progress and a tool to be used to guide children's learning.
We believe children develop self-concept, self-discipline, responsibility and honesty at an early age. We strive to support positive growth in these areas.
We are City Licensed, First Aid and CPR Certified, have completed full federal background checks. Hold CDA Credentials, Technical and Associate Degrees from Idaho State University in Early Childhood Education and participate in ongoing education programs.
